Planning Studio
Philosophy
MESA’s Planning Studio understands the reality of change. It is the only constant in the life of a city, and it will happen—planned or not. The physical form of this change reflects a city’s history, character, economy, context, and regard for natural systems. MESA’s idea of planning is to craft a vision that is economically feasible, sufficiently powerful to influence the form of future growth, and so environmentally enriching that it improves the quality of all life.
Approach
MESA’s Planning Studio has developed a five-fold process to fully grasp a city’s vision for growth. Each phase works within the city’s dynamic to design for appropriate physical growth and a sustainable economy. With clear communication—verbal, written, and illustrated, MESA’s Planning Studio contributes positively and empathetically to a city’s change.
